All year long at
Mathisen Tree Farms there are many jobs to complete before
harvesting trees. Look around this page to learn what
is happening around the farm. |

During June and July,
we are selecting and shearing trees for the
upcoming harvest season. In other words we are
already working on Christmas Trees, and will be doing
this every week until harvest begins in late October. |

| We have a limited summer
digging opportunity with respect to the B&B or Nursery
application. Right now (temperatures allowing) we can
summer dig Arborvitae. The week of June 20th we
dug and shipped a semi-load of Emerald Green Arborvitae, and
we are scheduled to dig another load the first week of July. |

Also during the summer
season we are scouting all our trees for insects and a
variety of diseases. We constantly monitor the weather
in case we have to irrigate the trees to maintain
vitality.
