| I
moved to Michigan in 1985 from Northern
California where I was managing a 2,000 head
beef cattle ranch.
I graduated from California State
University at Chico with a Bachelors degree in
American History.
I left California for the opportunity to
own and operate my own business in Christmas
Trees. I
am a past President of the Michigan Christmas
Tree Association and currently serve as an
advisor to the Great Lakes Journal, and an
advisor on the Research Committee for the
Michigan Christmas Tree Association.
Additionally, I have a consulting
business offering advice and direction to other
conifer growers.
My better half, Amee works with me and is
in charge of the Christmas Greens segment of the
farm. We
have a son, Quinn who is three.
I have two older sons Chris (27) and Nick
(23). I
enjoy a good round of golf, snorkeling and scuba
diving when I am not in the tree fields. |

have been the farm manager at Mathisen Tree Farms
since 1998.
I am a United States Army Veteran and a Ferris
State University Alumnus.
I have been married to my wife Jennifer for
years.
We have three children Brad, Brooke and Hailee.
I enjoy golfing, watching football and the
Detroit Tigers. |

have had the privilege being employed as part
of the Mathisen Tree Farms LLC family for 14 years.
My husband Dean and I have been married for 12
years. We
enjoy time with our 5 children and 11 grandchildren.
In our spare time we enjoy visits to the Soo
Locks and working with our 8 Beagles and our
Australian shepherd. |
